Economic Integration of the countries in Mekong Region -Supply Chain Analysis from international Perspective-

The purpose of the research

This research project addresses the problems of economic integration being experienced in the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN),and in particular the countries of the Mekong region (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar), and analyzes not the institutional or macroeconomic aspects, but looks at the micro issues from the standpoint of the manufacturing, distribution, and logistics activities, i.e., the actual value chain, of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which make up the vast majority of companies in the region. The project will be carried out over a five-year period, from 2014 to 2018.
