Scholarship

Senshu University has established a variety of scholarship programs to encourage academic research and provide economic aid to students, in order to cultivate superior talents. There are two major types of scholarship programs, one of which is aimed at encouraging and supporting the studies and activities of students with outstanding academic achievements and the other to provide financial support for students who qualify.

Self-Development Scholarship Students

  • Eligibility and Requirements
    Individuals or groups currently enrolled at Senshu University with clear academic, literary, athletic, autonomous, and social goals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their fields and who have set even higher goals.
  • Scholarship Description
    The amount awarded will be determined based on the recipient’s activities. The maximum grant will be 200,000 yen for individuals and 500,000 yen for groups. The payment will be made in a lump sum upon approval. Grants will be made for the corresponding fiscal year.

Designated Exam Scholarship Students

  • Eligibility and Requirements
    Students currently enrolled at Senshu University who have passed the multiple-choice section of the secondary exam of the old bar examination or the multiple-choice section of the certified public accountant examination, or students who have passed the final section of the old bar examination or the certified public accountant examination.
  • Scholarship Description
    An award of 100,000 yen will be granted to those who have successfully passed the multiple-choice section of the secondary exam or the multiple-choice exam.
    An award of 300,000 yen will be granted to students who have successfully passed the final examination.
    To be paid in a lump sum upon approval.
    To be granted for the corresponding fiscal year.
    Notifications will be made around November/January of each year.

Sudden Change in Household Budget Scholarship Students

Designated Exam Scholarship Students

  • Eligibility and Requirements
    Students currently enrolled at Senshu University, who are motivated in their studies but face significant hurdles to continuing their education because of economic difficulties due to the death, unemployment, or long-term medical leave of the main supporter of the family budget. (Applications are to be submitted within three months of the cause, except for long-term medical leaves, for which applications should be submitted after six months.)
  • Scholarship Description
    Approved only once during the student’s enrollment at Senshu University. The grant will correspond to 40% of the tuition fee and will be paid in a lump sum upon approval. To be granted for the corresponding fiscal year.

Disaster Relief Scholarship Students

  • Eligibility and Requirements
    Students currently enrolled at Senshu University whose economic difficulties are because of losses suffered from a fire, windstorm, flood, or earthquake resulting in damage to their residence or the permanent residence of the main supporter of the family budget. (Applications are to be submitted within three months of the cause.)
  • Scholarship Description
    Maximum grant will be 200,000 yen. To be paid in a lump sum upon approval. To be granted for the corresponding fiscal year.
