Introduction of the Center

@gThe Center for Legal and Political
Studies, Senshu Universityh was set
up in 1967 and has its office at the
Kanda campus
in the central Tokyo.
The aim of the Center is to organize
research meetings, and promote and
support advanced studies by the
Center's members consisting mainly
of the teaching staff of both the
School of Law
and the School of
Legal Affairs
of the University.
@The Center's activities cover the
followings:


œ@Holding of workshops
@The Center holds a number of workshops, including Regular Workshops among its members, Special Workshops with researchers from overseas and Coordinated Workshops with other Institutes of the University, to discuss issues concerning law and politics. Many of its members participate together with their graduate students in these workshops, where lively exchange of opinions takes place.

œ@Publication of the Annual Review and Newsletter
@The Center for Legal and Political Studies Annual Review contains special features on such diverse areas of study as civil law, criminal law, public law and political science. The Newsletter, published semi-annually in a booklet format, features notes, reviews and short essays related to law and political science in general.

œ@Other supports
@The Center purchases and collects books\mainly reference books\, documents, equipments and other materials for the use of the members.
